The Pavilion at Star Lake

The Arctic Foxes Hockey Association is pleased to continue our partnership with the Pavilion at Star Lake to offset the costs of your hockey related expenses. Non-Profit Fundraising (NPO) allows family members of players in the Foxes organization to raise money while working concerts at Star Lake. We work at the various concession stands. This is open to anyone 16 or older, although those under 18 are not permitted to sell alcohol but still perform things such as preparing nachos, making pretzels, filling ice, running food, stocking up supplies, etc.

You can work as many concerts as you want!! You are generally asked to arrive about 1 hour before the gates open and you work through the closure of your stand. Not only can this money be used to reduce or eliminate your season fees but can also be applied to other legitimate hockey expenses (such as purchase of equipment or tournament expenses).

When you have finished reading all the information, please complete the form linked in this email so your information is updated, and you receive further info for Star Lake work. We must receive your response form ASAP!

Please review the schedule and indicate your best guess of how many shows you think you might work on the form provided in this email. This info is VERY important as it helps AFHA/Star Lake plan how many stands we can staff. We do not want to few or too many as we do sign a contract to fulfill staffing of the stands we take. Please do NOT delay in completing the form if you are interested in working.

You bid on the shows that you want to work and that fit your schedule. You will be contacted prior to each show confirming your work location, report time, etc.

Payment is applied directly to your Arctic Foxes account, and you are compensated for every hour you work. The rate is calculated at the end of the season (October/November), once all payments are received from Star Lake. The funds earned as a non-profit volunteer are tax free can be used to pay your ice fees for the Foxes, your school team, and other approved hockey related expenses. The more you work, the more you earn... and less money comes out of your pocket.
